How I got Chronic Urticaria, Treated and Cured myself

 

It was in 2014 and I was working, my neck, hands, feet, and face had swelled up. Due to the feeling that something was very wrong, I went to the office bathroom and looked myself in the mirror.

I looked as if I had been stung by bees. This had me going to the emergency room. Consequently, the doctor informed me that I have hives caused by an unknown allergic reaction. Apparently, it happens to a lot of people where the hives could last a couple of weeks. The doctor informed me that I didn’t need to worry but at the same time keep an eye on the hives. I was given some antihistamines which took the edge off the pain and reduced the swelling. Not a lot though…

Four weeks later I find myself at the dermatologists’ office with even more hives. The doctor asked if I used painkillers, ate shellfish or used nutritional supplements that she should know about. This was because they had a suspicion it could be a factor in developing chronic urticaria to which I was told I had.
She let me know that this is an illness where there is no cure. That I might have to live with this for years and perhaps the rest of my life. Being told “we don’t know what causes this” and “there is no cure” does not make one happy.

Equipped with my new prescription I left the dermatologists office and headed to the pharmacy.
I remember on the way over thinking “yes, no more hives”! Boy was I wrong… Over the next couple of months, we tried different dosages and completely changed some of the medications. Nothing helped. I had to accept the fact my life would never be the same. Let’s just say it wasn’t an easy feat.

I now had to figure out what I could do to make life more tolerable. There were several different factors to consider. I had to avoid heat, stress, pressure, and anything that got the blood starts pumping.
In practice this meant:

 

Not to move around too much.

Stay out of the sun which, in turn, means to stay inside.

Avoiding stress.

Avoiding putting pressure on your body’s skin.

 

Even though I tried my best it was never enough. Let’s say for instance I wanted to go buy groceries, then my feet would swell up. I think we all know that work can be very stressful, consequently, hives would come about.

Ending up with chronic urticaria is a symptom, and  I ended up with hives because of depression. The depression turned me to fast food, alcohol and to some extent drugs. Everything I could do to self-medicate. The sickening blatant lie “we don’t know what causes this”, “we suspect it’s caused by…” or “there’s no cure” is false. The cause is a lack of real food and hydration.
Also, it can be cured! 
One would think a billion dollar industry would figure this out…

 

MY JOURNEY TOWARDS SOLVING THE PROBLEM

 

It all started with my sister telling me “you know, I watched this documentary and the guy had the same thing you do”. I thought, “well that can’t be true”. “She must have misunderstood the situation”.
I had never met someone nor heard of someone with the same condition. Nevertheless, the day went on and I decided to watch the documentary. I was in shock. I couldn’t believe what I saw. The man, Joe Cross in his documentary “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead”  explained the exact same symptoms I had.

He too was unable to find a cure by conventional means. In the documentary, we can see Joe Cross himself have his first encounter with another person who had chronic urticaria. I got to see the steps necessary to cure this debilitating illness. The answer was to do juicing, which he did for 60 days! That may sound extreme for the very reason that it is just that, extreme. However, after 60 days he didn’t  need any meds for his urticaria. He explains the primary reason for juicing the vegetables and fruits is so that you can obtain as many micronutrients as could possibly fit your belly.

I knew I would never be able to find the discipline needed to go 60 days without eating. So what could I do to get healthy and cure my chronic urticaria without the 60 days fast? I kept educating myself with documentaries I found on amazon.com.  Soon I came to the conclusion a plant-based diet was the way to go. Obviously in combination with juicing. I also got some idea of what minerals and vitamins separately to each other could help with.

Equipped with the newfound knowledge I found my way to the health food store and bought a juicer and some supplements. There is one particular thing of, in my opinion, major importance- vitamin D3. If you want to rid yourself of chronic urticaria you should use vitamin D3. There’s no question about it. Since your whole body is full of hives it becomes easy to see the results of the impact vitamin D3 has.

Vitamin D3 helped me more than anything else. At least when it comes to immediate results. My three medications didn’t stand a chance against vitamin D3 since it was at least 10 times more effective.

Remember to buy a vitamin D3 where you know that the amount of vitamin D3 in the pill is as advertised. Some brands are being loose with the truth and may contain less or more of the vitamin in question. Since too much can be bad for you and to little may hinder your goals, you should choose a brand that you’re comfortable with.

Cheap VS expensive vitamin D3? Well, I have tried both. The very expensive and the very cheap ones made no difference what so ever. Remember to take your vitamin D3 with vitamin K2 (MK-7). This is to avoid calcification. The ratio between vitamin K2 (MK-7) differs from one expert to the next. Some say you need 100 mcg of vitamin K2 (MK-7) for every 10 000 IU vitamin D3. Others say you need 120 mcg for every 1 000 IU vitamin D3.

One vitamin you should avoid is vitamin B3, also called Niacin. I found this out while I was testing out what could work. This is because vitamin B3 expands your blood vessels. Keep this in mind if you choose to use a multivitamin during the time you are working on curing yourself.

 

HOW LONG BEFORE I WAS CURED?

 

Doing the juicing, eating plant-based and taking vitamin D3 and K2 (Mk-7) cured me in about 3 months. I mostly drank a juice called “Mean Green” and used 10 000 IU Vitamin D3.
